15 Weeks: Appointment #3

I'm a little behind with my weekly blog post.  I just didn't feel like doing it all week.  We had our third appointment on Monday.  It was short and sweet.  We heard the baby's heartbeat again (150 this time) and that was pretty much it!  Surprisingly, I've only gained one pound since my  first appointment!  Amazing, considering all I've been eating lately!  Even Craig was surprised.

I did learn that my blood type is A negative, which means I have to get a shot (lovely) around 28 weeks, and possibly again at birth if the baby's blood does not match mine.  If the baby happens to have a positive blood type, my body could develop antibodies against it...not a huge deal with the first baby but I guess those antibodies could attack Baby #2 someday and kill it.  Yikes!  I am not looking forward to that shot.  Ugh!

How Far Along: 15 Weeks

Size of Baby:
An orange  (~4 inches long and weighs ~2.5 ounces)

What's Happening:
Baby Sides is becoming more proportional, as his/her legs out measure the arms.  His/her joints and limbs can all move now, and baby is squirming around in there, though it may be a few more weeks before I feel anything.  She/he can also sense light.

Symptoms:
To be honest, since the nausea has subsided, I don't really feel any signs of pregnancy, which I guess is a good thing.

Cravings:
Salads...yummy.

Gender:
4 week countdown.  I did have a dream about the baby...he was born a boy, but we were pushing a stroller in the same dream, and it was a girl.  Weird.  My mom also had a dream that the baby was a boy.

Movement:
Haven't felt anything.

Sleep:
Other than the pee thing, I'm sleeping pretty well.

Clothing:
Still in my regular clothes, though my jeans are getting tighter!  Thank goodness for the Bella Band!

What I Miss:
Just the usual (i.e. beer).

Looking Forward To...
Paining the nursery, hopefully sometime this weekend!

Where is the cute little baby bump?  I feel like I just look fatter than normal!
