Bixny Baby Review

When I got pregnant with Rhett, one of my biggest fears (no joke) was "How in the world am I going to grocery shop??"  With two young kids already, I was forced to push one of those school-bus sized shopping carts, but add an infant carrier and there would literally be no room for groceries!!

Enter my most favorite new baby product on the market: the binxy baby shopping cart hammock!  Not only is it super cute, but it's one of the best baby inventions ever, in my opinion.

What is it exactly?  A hammock-like carrier that safely clips onto a shopping cart, leaving ample room for a cart full of groceries.  It fits most standard size shopping carts and supports babies from newborn to 50 pounds.  (It is recommended, for safety reasons, you stop using when your baby is old enough to sit up on his/her own.)  For convenience sake, the hammock rolls up and can easily be stored in your diaper bag.

One of my hesitations about the hammock was that it would require me to get Rhett out of his cozy car seat in the frigidness of winter.  But to my surprise, I learned the hammock can also support an entire car seat, which I tested yesterday and it worked flawlesslyl!

I put my hammock to good use for the first time last week (Target, duh!) and right away, got a few comments from strangers about how useful of a product it is!  I couldn't agree more and I look forward to many more shopping trips with this thing!

If you are interested in purchasing a hammock of your own, click HERE for 10% off!

P.S. I took my big camera to Target to take some photos of this amazing thing, but despite my best efforts, I was too embarrassed to be snapping photos in the aisles!  (We even went early in the morning...it was still crazy busy!)  So iPhone photos are all you get today. 😉

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Binxy Baby, but all opinions are my own and I seriously think this might be my most favorite baby product.  Ever.

Magformers Monday (Pssssst - A Giveaway!)

Happy Monday after the Super Bowl!  I've always wondered why the Super Bowl continues to be played on a Sunday.  I mean, Super Bowl Sunday is basically a holiday, right?  Yet, most of us have to resume normal life again just 12 hours later.  There isn't much we can change about having to go back to work on this extra dreadful Monday morning, so how about a little giveaway to make it a little more bearable?  (P.S. It's my first giveaway.  How exciting is that?!)

I've professed my love for MAGFORMERS® a time or two.  We first encountered them last summer when Brantley received a 30-piece set for his third birthday.  As a math teacher, I was quickly--and I mean quickly--in love!!  The shapes polygons spoke to my heart and I immediately started thinking about all of their applications to my geometry class (faces, edges, vertices, nets, Euler's Formula...ahhhh!).  I even took them to use as a demonstration when introducing polyhedrons in November.  Pretty sure my students decided right then and there that I am cray cray, but anything in the name of education, right?!  In all seriousness though, MAGFORMERS® are fantastic!  Not only are they my favorite toy, but both of the boys love them, too!

What exactly are MAGFORMERS®, you ask?  I would describe them as brightly colored, plastic toys in various shapes that include magnets so that the pieces can be stacked, built with, you name it!  The magnets inside are very strong and the MAGFORMERS® don't appear to be cheaply made in the least bit!  Founded with the Architects of the future in mind, MAGFORMERS® have won all kinds of educational toy awards and MAGFORMERS® is of the world’s leading manufacturer of magnetic children’s toys.  They are marketed for kids age three and above, but even at 21 months, Holden loves to sit and play with them.  Don't believe me and my love for these things?  Check the Amazon reviews.  Turns out, I'm not the only one who is gaga over these toys!

Recently, we received a MAGFORMERS® My First 54-Piece Set.  I already knew we loved the toys, but what I didn't expect from this My First set was the different activity/learning cards.  The cards can be used to match shapes and colors (perfect for Holden) or provide a guide for building both two and three-dimensional figures (perfect for Brantley).

Or, of course, you can just let their imaginations run wild and they can build from scratch.  Here is Brantley building a "geese pond".  We've also built many a football/baseball stadiums in this house.

This has been my go-to gift for all of the 3-year old boys we know, but they would be perfect for girls, too!  In fact, as a female math teacher, I love that MAGFORMERS® makes sets (the Inspire series) that are specifically geared towards young girls.  Here are a few of those options, as well as some other favorite sets!

MAGFORMERS® 30-Piece Set

Things My Kids Love

I saw this idea on a blog the other day and thought it was the perfect idea for anyone looking for toddler-friendly (boy, especially) Christmas gifts!  Most of these toys are played with, if not fought over,  regularly among my 1 and 3-year old boys. :)

Now, before I start, let me just say - there's a commonality among most of these toys.  And it took a photo collage for me to make the connection.  Nearly every single one of these has parts and pieces galore.  Parts and pieces that are typically scattered across our living room, dining room, and kitchen floors, which drives me crazy!!  Moral of the story - when in doubt, buy something with a million pieces and they're sure to love it!

Our Favorite Books

Both of our boys love reading books at bedtime.  Holden gets so excited to go choose a book from his bookshelf and he is usually mad about only reading three.  Brantley seems to always choose the longest, drawn-out books with 500 flaps, but he, too, loves this time before bedtime.  Although I don't read for pleasure like I once did, I hope their current love of books carries well into their adolescent and adult years.  I compiled a list of our current favorites, just in case anyone is looking for books to ask Santa!

Toddler-Approved
Dear Zoo | Where's Spot | Yummy Yucky | Baby Beep Beep (and other DK Publishing chunky board books)

For the Sports-Lover
Goodnight Baseball | Hello Big Jay (and other mascot books)

Potty Training Favorites

First of all, I don't claim to be an expert when it comes to potty training.  I credit our success mostly to luck, but also to Brantley who is (and always has been) a super easy kid.  I'm sure it will be a completely different story with Holden.  Until then, I'll thank my lucky stars it was smooth sailing* with round one, because I've known plenty of other parents that would agree that potty training was the death of them.  That being said, here are a few of our favorites when it came to potty training!

Baby Bjorn Potty Chair - Once we started actual potty training, we locked this thing away in our closet and did not use it.  I mean, who wants to clean poop out of a chair anyway?  But...we had this on our bathroom floor for months before we started the potty training process and Brantley would sit on it (and sometimes pee in it) before bath time.  It was at this time that I think he made the connection between that feeling and going to the bathroom, so although we didn't ultimately use it, I think this was huge for us.

Lora Jensen's Three-Day Potty Training Method - I mentioned before that much of this method was common sense to me (maybe that's the teacher in me?), but the author did have some great suggestions that I probably wouldn't have thought of.  For instance, have your toddler assist in "throwing away" all of the diapers to show him that he really is a big kid and rely on him to tell you when he has to go potty, instead of you asking all the time (this gives him the power).  Also, encourage excess drinking with something out of the ordinary like Kool-aid.  It ensures they will have to use the potty often, which is a must when potty training.  I will say that we didn't stick to this method 100% (we use pull-ups, for instance) and the book has very mixed reviews on Amazon, but it worked for us!

Pampers Easy Ups - We used these during nap and night time.  The book says not to, but I wasn't excited about having to clean up a potential accident each time Brantley slept.  However, we didn't call them diapers, we called them night time/sleepy time underwear.  We are currently in the process of weaning from these and put them over his underwear so that we (and he) can tell when he pees while sleeping.

Toddler Undies - Obviously you need these. :)  We got a pack of Mickey Mouse, a pack of Thomas the Train, a pack of Disney (with Cars), and a pack with balls on them.  You can never have too many pairs of adorable toddler undies, in my opinion!  Brantley gets so excited to pick out a new pair each morning and he'll tell you he has a new favorite pair each day.

Arm & Hammer Potty Seat - After realizing there was no way I wanted to clean out the potty chair each time, I bought two of these.  One for upstairs, one for our main floor.  They are inexpensive, have handles, and {bonus} have an included air freshener!  They've worked really well for us!

Positive Reinforcements - I raided Target's dollar spot for cheap rewards before we started the process.  Playing cards, a slinky, dollar truck books, iced animal cookies, and of course, stocked up on some candy, too!  Still today, Brantley asked for a "treat" every time he poops!

Cottonelle Flushable Wipes - These made the transition to the toilet a little easier because it was something of familiar territory (wet wipes) to the potty trainee.  And they do make cleaning poo from the booty a tad easier.

P is for Potty Book - We used this and an Elmo video on the iPad to encourage potty training.  Again, Brantley watched the Elmo video for months before we started the process.  The book was a quick addition to my Amazon cart when I also purchased the potty seats and we made sure to read it a few times before beginning the process.

Kikkerland Rhino II Step Stool - We bought this thing to promote good hand-washing habits, but it's actually nicer for Mommy and Daddy to sit on while the little one is going potty.  It's small, sturdy, and can be easily folded and stored!

*Please know that it wasn't completely smooth sailing for us.  We had our fair share of accidents and he went through a phase of not wanting anything to do with pooping on the potty.  Luckily that phase was short lived and he's done darn near amazing ever since!

My Favorite Things: Baby Edition #4

It's been awhile, but I have more baby faves to share!

Otterbox Defender Series Case for iPad - I'm pretty sure an Otterbox is the only sure way to guarantee your iPad stay safe when handled by a baby/toddler.  It protects from drops, scratches, or in our case, excessive drool.  We also have a soft case (couldn't find the exact one) that secures the iPad and wraps around the headrest in our car, so that Brantley can watch cartoons during road trips.

Sippy Cup Leash - Pretty fantastic invention.  One end snaps around a carseat, stroller, highchair, whatever.  The other wraps around a sippy cup.  Therefore, when the kid decides to throw it on the ground, it doesn't go far!  (Note: This isn't the exact one we have.  I ordered ours from a daily deal website.)

Munchkin Shampoo Rinser - Definitely not a necessity.  A simple plastic cup would suffice.  But this is soft silicone and has a handle with makes it gentle and easy to use!  This is also Brantley's favorite "bath toy".

Brica Fold 'N Go Travel Booster Seat - I bought this last year after scouring the Internet and reading numerous reviews on travel high chairs/booster seats.  It folds up flat making it easy to stuff in a suitcase or a small space.  It's also lightweight, yet sturdy, and fits on pretty much any chair.  It was the perfect thing to take with us to Florida for use in our condo and also makes for the perfect way for Brantley to eat on our deck furniture.

Nuk Gerber Graduates Hard Spout Sippy Cups - We've tried many different sippies and these are, by far, our favorite!  They don't spill.  They don't leak.  Period.  Now, they're not what we used when we first transitioned Brantley from bottle to sippy.  We used cups with more of a soft, nipple-like spout.  (They leaked.)  Once he got the hang of the sippy, we switched to these and haven't looked back.

Plum Dispensing Boon Spoons - Perhaps my favorite baby accessory ever!  I was so excited when I spotted these in Target one day!  They screw on to the pouches of baby food (generic, too!) and make one-handed, feeding-on-the-go super simple.  They also come in a handy plastic container so the spoons don't get lost in a diaper bag.  Love, love, love these!  (Once Brantley was older, he would eat directly from the pouch, but early on, eating from a spoon was definitely the better option.)

iPlay Unisex Shoes - We have Toms.  We have Converse.  We have Crocs.  We have Stride Rites.  These $15 rubber shoes from Buy Buy Baby are definitely our fave!  They are easily cleanable, quick to put on, and can we worn with or without socks.  They're awesome.  They come in a plethora of colors, too!  (I've seen similar style shoes at both Old Navy and Gap.)

SwimWays Canopy Spring Baby Float - This was awesome for the pool last summer.  I could put Brantley in and let him float/walk around in the baby pool, while the snap-off canopy helped block the sun.  It's easy to inflate and easy to manage in a handy carrying case.

Coppertone Water Babies Spray Sunscreen - We love playing outside.  But applying sunscreen on a kid just plain sucks!  This spray-on lotion definitely makes the job easier.  It's still lotion and still needs rubbed into the skin, but beats old fashioned sunscreen any day, in my opinion.

Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack Diaper Bag - This was not the diaper bag I use for Brantley.  But once Holden came along, it was hard to manage a purse, a messenger-type diaper bag, an infant carrier, and a toddler.  So I found this gem on Craigslist.  Good thing because it retails for $180!  The part that attracted me was the backpack straps.  I can wear it easily so it's not constantly falling off my shoulder (like my old one) and still have two free hands.  It's roomy inside (big enough for two kids) and made of fabric that is easily cleanable.  Thank goodness I found this thing and don't have to carry my old one!  (Nothing against my old JJ Cole Diaper Bag...I just hated carrying it over my shoulder.)

Breathable Baby Mesh Crib Liner - We didn't use this until Brantley was a year old (?) and kept getting his leg stuck between his crib slats.  I once thought I was going to have to call Craig at work and make him come home to help me release his leg!  This mesh liner weaves in and out of the crib to prevent body parts from going through and is a safe alternative to crib bumpers.  Ours is about 12 inches in height, but it appears that now a full coverage liner is made to reach up the entire slat.  It's also available in more color options now, as well.

I think that takes care of all of my favorite baby items to date!  Check out my other faves here, here, and here.  Or just visit my Favorites tab at the top of this blog!

My Favorite Things: Kitchen Edition

I've been working on this blog post for months.  Seriously--it's been in my saved drafts since November, I think.  Just couldn't find the ambition to make a photo collage or write a summary of each of these items.  But finally, it's done!  Here are my favorite products for use in the kitchen--perfect items for a bridal registry if that pertains to you!

Keurig Home Brewer - I'm the only one in my household that drinks coffee.  I used to have a regular coffee pot, but got sick of wasting coffee and cleaning it daily.  Enter the Keurig - famous for its single-cup servings.  I got one for Christmas a few years ago and have used it nearly every day since.  I love the variety the K-cups offer, I love being able to brew right into my mug, and I love that there's little cleanup!  If you are an avid coffee drinker like myself, the $100 for this thing is well worth it!!    (Side notes: There are more expensive models with more bells and whistles, but this is the one I have and it does the job.  There are also non-coffee K-cups--hot chocolate, chai tea latte, apple cider, among others--and a reusable filter if you fear the wastefulness of K-cups.)

Pampered Chef Large Micro Cooker - It's like a steamer for the microwave.  I've used it for frozen veggies, potatoes, soup, and even fruits when making baby food.  It has a lid that snaps into place, handles for easy carrying, and holes (in the lid) that double as a strainer.

Collapsible Cupcake Carrier - One of my most favorite wedding gifts!  Love the convenience of this thing.  It holds 24 cupcakes, but collapses nicely for easy storage.

Pampered Chef Apple Wedger - We always had an apple wedger growing up, but it never worked well.  Then I used one (Pampered Chef brand) at my in-law's house a few years ago and decided I needed one.  It works so much better than the crappy one I grew up with!  Works well for pears, too!

As Seen on TV Handy Caddy - This is what my Keurig sits on.  It's a slide-able tray that allows me easy access anytime I need to refill the water in the Keurig.  It would be perfect for any countertop appliance that is used often.

Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish - Our stainless steel appliances accumulate so many fingerprints.  We used to use the wipes of the same brand, but they left streaks.  This spray is awesome.  Cleans and polishes, just like it says!  I like the clean/fresh smell, too!

Pineapple Corer - If you ever eat fresh pineapple, you NEED one of these things!  A-sap.  It makes coring and slicing pineapple so super easy.  My only complaint is that it can't be used for pineapple on kababs because it slices the pineapple too thin.

Hamburger Press - Another of my favorite random kitchen gadgets!   I used to hate making hamburger patties.  I could never get them big enough flat enough to stick together right.  Until I found this thing.  Awe-some!!

Panini Press - One of Craig's favorite meals is a panini.  Anytime, any kind.  Though I don't want them once a week like he does, I do like them thanks to this handy panini maker!  I will say it makes for an easy meal and I don't know anyone that doesn't like easy.  To see the panini recipes I've blogged about, click here and here.

Apron - Ummm if you've seen me in the kitchen, you know that I'm messy.  Hence the apron!  And if you're gonna wear an apron, it better be a cute one! :)

KitchenAid Food Chopper - I just got this thing for Christmas six months ago, and I'm not sure how I lived so long without it!  It's perfect for chopping anything from onions to crackers to tomatoes for bruschetta.  It is amazing.

Spice Clips - I'm a sucker for any sort of organizational gadget and these clips are perfect for plastic spice containers.  We have them stuck to the inside of our pantry doors (see here), alphabetized of course, which frees up space for other items.  They have a peel & stick back, but we ended up securing them with screws because the sticky was wearing off.

Electric Rechargeable Wine Opener - This is such a cool gadget and makes opening a bottle of wine easy peasy!  Simply push the button and watch the cork come out!  It would make for a perfect gift idea for the wine-lover in your life!

Citrus Press - I used to use pliers from our garage to squeeze juice out of a lemon or lime.  Then I convinced the hubs I needed one of these.

Egg Slicer - Sure, I don't use this thing often, but it's fun to use when slicing eggs for salads!

Chalkboard Labels - Another organizational tool!  And a cute one, too!  I stuck these labels to my canisters for flour, sugar, brown sugar, and powdered sugar so there's no future confusion for the hubs! :)  Not only are they functional, but super cute and reasonably priced!

My Favorite Things: Baby Edition #3

It's that time again! Time for more of my favorite baby products!  Most of these are above and beyond what one really needs, but nice conveniences to have!

The First Years Jet Lightweight Stroller (similar)- When I was registering, a friend recommended we add an umbrella stroller - you know, the ones you used to play with as a kid.  (At least that's what my sister and I did.)  Sure, we have our BOB, but BOB can be a pain-in-the-butt.  It's heavy and takes up a lot of space.  These lightweight strollers are so much more convenient when BOB is not necessary.  For instance, we took our umbrella stroller to Wichita over Easter weekend, as we already had a car full.  I also took it to Bass Pro when we went to visit the Easter bunny.  It folds quickly and easily and it's so much easier to push through small spaces.  This one is from Target and I noticed just the other day that it was on sale!  It has a detachable sun shade and compartments up top to store things (like a drink), as well as a nice place to throw things below the seat.

Brica Super Scoop Bath Toy Organizer - Necessary only if you don't want bath toys scattering the floor of your bath tub. :)  We had another brand, but it was teeny-tiny and would not stay suctioned to our wall.  This one is great.  Larger, stays suctioned, and easily lifts off.  And I think it's pretty cute!

Green Sprouts Freezer Cubes - I've blogged before about making my own baby food.  These are what I use to store the pureed food.  I know many moms are happy using ice cube trays to freeze food and then store the frozen cubes in ziploc baggies.  I'm sure that works great, too, but I love these things.  They have lids and can be moved easily from the freezer to refrigerator.  They also come with trays that make for easy stacking.  Sure, they're probably more expensive than ice cube trays, but to me, well worth it!

Infantino Shopping Cart/Highchair Cover - I'm not a major germ-a-phobe, but these shopping cart/high chair covers are pretty nice to have.  Mine is pretty basic...I found it at Marshall's for $20!  I've recently seen some with a front pocket that would be convenient for storing items (pacifier, snacks, small toys) and even some with teething rings/toys attached!  Shark Tank also featured one recently (the Cool Wazoo) that's like 6-uses-in-one!

Little Tikes 2-in-1 Snug 'n Secure Swing - We just got this a few weeks ago, but have used it every weekend since!  You have to buy the hooks separately, but can attach them anywhere!  We have hooks attached to our garage frame (in the front of our house) and to our deck (in the back).  We've even seen neighbors with hooks attached to tree branches!

Tommy Tippee Easy Roll Bib - Another recent purchase!  These have a pocket to catch fallen food and they're rubbery material, which makes for easy clean-up!

Tiny Diner Placemat - We keep this thing in our diaper bag and use it anytime we're out to eat.  It suctions to the table and provides a clean, eating surface.  It also has a scoop that catches dropped food and rolls up nicely and easily for compact storage.  This was a recommendation from a friend of a friend and I agree - it's great!

Puj Ultra Soft Spout Cover - Now that Brantley is obsessed with standing in the bath tub, I'm a nervous wreck about him accidentally falling and hitting his head on the spout.  I ordered this cute spout cover from Amazon (mainly because it was the cutest one I saw and matches our bathroom color scheme).  It's foam and slips on easily over the spout.  It a fairly new addition to our bathtub, so I can't say much, but so far, it's doing what it should!

KidKusion Kushion - Once Brantley started climbing and standing on things, we knew we needed to baby proof the fireplace hearth.  Those corners are deadly and I would cringe at the thought of Brantley falling on them!  We saw this thing at Buy Buy Baby and ordered it soon after from Amazon.  It's the perfect length for our fireplace and provides a cushion around the entire outside perimeter (math teacher lingo!).  It attaches with Velcro (included) and stays in place nicely - even when Brantley plays with it!  Definitely one of our best baby proofing purchases!

Up & Up Baby Food Pouches - Even though I'm making my own fruit and veggie purees, I always keep our pantry stocked with these!  They are so convenient when we're out and about.  The Target brand (Up & Up) are 89 cents a piece, as opposed to $1+ for the organic pouches.  And let's be honest, I don't buy organic produce for myself, so I see no need to spend the extra money for Brantley either.

Aquatopia Deluxe Safety Easy Bath Kneeler - Brantley loves bathtime.  And we've started giving him baths more regularly.  But my knees would always hurt so bad from kneeling on our hard, tile floor.  And then I discovered this!!  It's awesome.  Memory foam and the perfect solution to sore knees.  It even has pockets to store things in and folds nicely out of the way.

Leapfrog My Pal Scout - This was one of few things we bought Brantley for his first Christmas.  It comes with a USB cord and can be programmed to say your child's name, sing his/her favorite songs, and even talk about a favorite food (in our case, bacon!), among other things!  Brantley almost always smiles when he hears Scout say his name.  It's adorable.

My Favorite Things: Baby Edition #2

More baby favorites to share!

1. Munchkin Travel Bottle Warmer - So maybe this isn't a necessity, but it sure is nice for traveling!  We bought it for our trip to SC, but use it all the time now.  It's a bottle warmer that plugs into the cigarette lighter.  The downfall is that it takes 15 minutes to warm a bottle, so planning ahead is definitely a must, but it's better than having to stop somewhere for warm water.

Side note: Though bottle warmers are great, here's a tip I wish someone would have shared with us.  Give your baby room temperature formula from the get-go.  DON'T WARM BOTTLES!  Then your baby won't refuse cool milk when in a pinch.  Lesson learned for Baby #2.

2. Summer Infant Baby Touch Digital Video Monitor (similar) - I didn't intially want a video monitor.  I didn't think it was necessary and, because of the price, I thought a sound monitor was would suffice.  However, I'm so glad I let the hubs talk me into one.  It's so nice to be able to check on Brantley from the comfort of my own bed.  We've had no issues with this brand, other than once when the video wouldn't work.  However, we let the battery run dead and recharged it and it was fine.  This particular monitor is nice because you can control the camera from the touch-screen monitor.  So if your baby moves a lot in his sleep, you can move the camera to see him.  And, when another baby comes along, you can get a second camera and set it up to flash back and forth between the two cameras.  Love this thing!!

3. Munchkin Formula Dispenser - An absolute must for formula-feeding mama!  I have the Munchkin brand which allows for three batches of formula.  Makes feeding on the go much more convenient!

4. C.R. Gibson Baby Memory Calendar - This calendar lets you document your baby's first year as it happens.  You fill in the months and days yourself, so it starts on your baby's first day of life and ends on his first birthday.  Also included are stickers to record Baby's milestones.  This is a quick and easy alternative to a baby book, or like me, you can start here and transfer to a baby book later!

5. JuJu-Be Paci Pod - We have one of these attached to our diaper bag and another on our car seat.  Guarantees you always have a pacifier on hand.  Except for those times when you somehow forget to put all of them back...

6.  Halo SleepSack Wearable Blanket - Once you stop swaddling your baby (when they begin to  roll), you can switch from Sleepsack swaddlers to Sleepsack wearable blankets.  Same as the swaddlers I talked about in my last Favorite Things post, but without the swaddle flaps.

7. Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor - Perhaps a video monitor and movement monitor are a bit much, but this thing is supposed to help prevent SIDS.  It detects a baby's breathing and will sound an alarm if it subsides.  Knowing that made me feel waaaay better about moving Brantley to his crib at such a young age.  It also comforted me when Brantley started stomach sleeping and I was freaked out he was going to sufficate himself in the mattress.  I highly, highly recommend this thing, but beware, you will probably have a few false alarms, aka scariest moments of your life thus far.

8. J.J. Cole Bundle Me - Perfect for cold-weather climates, this thing straps into your baby's carseat and keeps him nice and snug in the cool weather.  There is also a cover to pull over Baby in leui of blankets.

9. adin + anais Burpy Bibs - Not only a burp cloth, but also a bib!!  We use regular bibs for feeding, but this thing is pretty good at keeping clean clothes clean and dry clothes dry for the extra-drooly baby.  It's like a shawl and wraps around Baby's entire shoulder region.  They're very absorbant and cute, too!

And in my opinion, there are a few things you can pass on, as well. Save the money and instead spend it on formulas and diapers.

Pack & Play - We used the basinette part for the first six weeks of Brantley's life.  And ever since, it's been packed away in our basement.  Not exactly the pack Graco is talking about. :)  Maybe we'll use it someday??  But for the time being, we just don't have a need for it.  Update 3 years later: Yes yes yes to a Pack & Play!!!

High Chair - High chairs are expensive and take up lots of space.  We bought one before Brantley was born, but returned it because we decided we could do without.  Instead, we opted for this Fisher Price Space Saver chair.  It has all the perks of a regular high chair, but straps to one of your regular kitchen chairs.  It also converts to a booster seat for toddlers.  We love this thing so far!

And that's all for my second edition! :)
