2017 Christmas Cards with Shutterfly

This post is sponsored by Shutterfly.

Between Amazon packages and Christmas cards, checking the mail during the month of December is quite the treat!  I just love seeing our friends' and families' faces splattered across the fronts and backs of Christmas cards.  I also obsess over designing our own cards.  I don't know why.  The average person probably glances at our card and throws it in a pile with all the rest.  But it's still a decision I sit on for hours days before finally pulling the trigger.

(Side note: I punch a hole in the cards we receive, add a binder ring, and make them into books with our own card as the cover.  We have a book for every year since 2009 - the first year Craig and I sent cards, as a newly engaged couple I might add.  Anyone else do this?)

This year, I ordered our cards from Shutterfly.  Since I've used Tiny Prints the last couple of years and they were recently acquired by Shutterfly, it was a no brainer.  And I'm certain I say this every year, but our 2017 cards may be my most favorite one yet!

I just love the quality of these.  The thick cardstock.  The customization options.  The glitter! 😍

Not to mention, the ease of designing them.  They have a favorite (heart) option, which makes narrowing down a design a liiiiiiittle easier, although still difficult with all of their gorgeous designs!  (See above comment about it taking me days.)

Shutterfly also includes the option of adding your own photo to every design.  Which is basically genius and a huge time saver!!

Here's how you do it...

...and here's an example using our photo.

I debated whether or not to share our full card on here so soon (after all, it's only December 7, people, and these have yet to hit the mail), but given my track record with blogging lately, it may be May before I get to it.

So here you go.

The front anyhow.  I'll save the back for later.

If you're lucky enough to be a recipient of the Sides' family Christmas card, give me another week.  Life has been cray lately and the stack of cards (all 130 of them) still currently sit on our new dining room table.  Unstuffed.  Un-stamped.  And unsealed.  Thank goodness for Shutterfly's addressing options (recipient✅, return✅)!!  It may take a bit of time up front to input all. the. addresses, but I can't tell you how happy it makes me to already have both sets printed on the envelopes!  (Bonus: You can store the addresses for future use  so next year should be easy-peasy.)

If you're still in the market for Christmas cards, good news!  Shutterfly is offering 50% off premium holiday cards with the code ENCORE.  But hurry because this amazing deal ends this Saturday, December 9!

Huge thanks to Shutterfly for our gorgeous 2017 Christmas cards!

Our 2016 Christmas Cards

Happy Christmas week!  Until about last Thursday, my husband was oblivious to the fact that Christmas was just over a week away!  So if any of you are like him, let it be known that Christmas is this weekend!!

After hoarding our Christmas cards for nearly a month, I finally addressed them, added stamps, and dropped them in the mailbox last Tuesday.  Which means they should have arrived to their final destinations by now, which means I can finally share the entire card in all of its glory and greatness.

Thanks again to Tiny Prints for the gorgeous cards!

Holiday Cards with TinyPrints

One of the first things I do upon receiving our annual family photos is design our Christmas cards.  I seriously look forward to this project every year.  I love browsing the pages and pages of cards, trying different designs, and ultimately choosing our annual card.  For the second year in a row, I ordered our cards through Tiny Prints.  Their selection, their options, and their services are just too good to pass up.  I may or may not have stewed over which card to choose for four days before making my final decision (#firstworldproblems), but I also couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Last year I went with a Tiny Prints' glitter card.  This year, I couldn't pass up their new personalized foil-stamped cards...because our last name in rose gold foil = swoon!!!!!!!  And because I'm a sucker for all the "extras", I also chose scalloped edges, pearl white shimmer paper, kraft envelopes, and matching return labels (not pictured).  And a second photo on the backside because, duh, I heart pictures!!

Here are some sneak peaks, though the photos really don't do them justice.  Notice how I conveniently cropped out the baby's name? ;)  If you're lucky enough to be a recipient of one of these beauties, I plan to send them out shortly after Thanksgiving.  (Pending all things baby!)

And because choosing a card was so hard, I'll go ahead and share a few runners up.  Just in case you're still in the market!  And I've already decided, next year I'm going with either the laser cut or letterpress cards!

Whimsy Glitzy (glitter)

As I mentioned last year, don't forget to utilize the "Show with my Photo" option - one of the best features of Tiny Prints' website in my opinion!  Seeing your photo on every card definitely helps narrow down your options!  (Though it's still extremely difficult!)

And one more quick note: Tiny Prints is offering 30% off of everything through today with the code TAKE30.  Happy card designing!

*Disclosure: Tiny Prints gifted us these cards in exchange for a blog post, but all opinions are all my own.

Christmas Cards 2015

I sneak peaked our Christmas cards back on Black Friday.  But now that everyone should have received theirs, I'm excited to share the full version.
Without further ado, here they are in all their glittery goodness!

Thanks again to Tiny Prints for gifting us the most gorgeous Christmas cards!

Tis the Season for Holiday Cards with Tiny Prints

I am so excited about our Christmas cards this year.  I've always drooled over the adorable cards at Tiny Prints, but I've never actually ordered my cards there.  Until now.

And oh my goodness, to say it was a difficult decision is an understatement!  First deciding upon a design, and a color scheme, and a font, and a back layout, and a trim option.  And then choosing envelopes, and an envelope liner (did you know you can put your picture on the liner??), and any coordinating items like return labels.  Seriously, with all of the options that Tiny Prints offers, I think over a million people could order holiday cards and not one of them would be the same.  It's no wonder it took me about four hours to place my order!

Of course I'm not going to show you our cards just yet.  If you're lucky enough to know us personally, you'll be excited to know these were dropped in the mail on Wednesday and they should be arriving to your mailbox any day now, and if not, I will share our cards soon enough!  In the meantime, I'll go ahead and share a little sneak peak + a look at the gorgeous gold envelopes and bokeh confetti envelope liners to match.  Are you drooling?  Because I sure am!

In the meantime, here are a few of my "runners up."  It was so hard to choose between the foiled-stamped, the glitter, and the laser-cut cards!

Scintillating Snowfall

Laser Cut

And this deserves a major shout out, too!  Perhaps my favorite thing about ordering my cards was the ability to see my photo in every card.  If you're anything like me, you typically design multiple cards and screen shot each one in order to compare and pick a favorite.  But that takes time - something you don't always have, especially this time of the year!  With this 'Change My Photo' option, you can literally browse the cards with your photo on each one.  Genius?  I think so.  Take a look.

Thank you, Tiny Prints, for the gorgeous Christmas cards!  I'll definitely be shopping with you again next year!

Order TODAY, Black Friday, for 40% off of everything!  Use the code BLACKFRI40.
