A Holiday Gift Guide of Uncommon Goods

This post has been compensated by Uncommon Goods.  However, all opinions are my own!

Now that Halloween has come and gone, everyone's got Christmas on their minds, right?!  Though I am typically one of those people, I've got one major to-do to cross of my list first and that's have a baby.  After that, I might start thinking about Christmas.  At any rate, 'tis the season for bloggers' gift guides!  I've got one for you today from a website I was recently introduced to and have spent more time browsing than I care to admit!  What can I say--they have some pretty interesting products to offer and I wanted to make sure I found all the things!

UncommonGoods is an online marketplace that connects makers and their creations with individuals looking for truly special goods - uncommon goods, if you will! ;)  And fun fact: UncommonGoods has been awarded for their outstanding customer service every year since 2007.  Furthermore, as an independently-owned business, they have the freedom to support causes they believe in and to impact the world in a positive way. With every purchase you make, they donate $1 to the non-profit of your choice.  Since they started this Better to Give program 12 years ago, they have donated over one million dollars to charities around the world!  Cool, right?

Convinced you should check them out yet?  How about I share some of my favorite products (ahem, Christmas ideas!!!!!) to further convince you.  I always struggle to come up with gifts for the men in my life (dad...father-in-law...Craig...), but this website has so many great and unique ideas for those guys and then some!  Take a look...

Custom Lake Art Cribbage Board | And just like that, I know what I'm getting my dad for Christmas!  He loves playing cards, cribbage included.  There are 77 pages of lakes/coastal regions to choose from for this custom-made wooden cribbage board and since we have visited the Lake of the Ozarks each summer since the late 90s, this is just perfect.

Bedside Smartphone Vase | This is the cutest little nightstand for a smart phone!  Put a bunch of fake hydrangeas in it and it doubles as a decorative vase!

Beer Cap State Map | Totally something my husband would like, mainly so he'd have an excuse to drink lots of beer!  (There's also a United States version - I recommend trying to fill it with a beer--or two--from each of the 50 states.)

Phone Storage Workout Bottle | Do you struggle with what to do with your phone while working out?  (I don't work out, so I wouldn't know.)  But this seems to be a helpful solution!

Mr. Food Face Plate | I teach my kids not to play with their food...but this plate is just too much fun!  And who knows, maybe it would encourage them to eat their peas? #unlikely

Reclaimed Wood Cookbook Stand | I just love this farmhouse-style cookbook stand.  Cute kitchen decor and practical!

Succulent Living Wall Planter Kit | Again, very farmhouse-ish and super trendy right now!

Math Glasses | I'm probably the only one who would appreciate these nerdy math glasses, but as a high school math teacher, I couldn't not include them in my list of faves!!

State Slate Bottle Stopper | This would make for a great stocking stuffer and who doesn't love a little home state pride?  (Click here for additional stocking stuffer ideas!)

Merlot Infused Coffee | Can't decide between a bottle of wine or coffee?  Here's a compromise.

Beer Chilling Coaster Set | These granite coasters can be stored in the freezer and are intended to keep your bottles of beer colder for longer.

What do you think?  Do you love these ideas?  And seriously, this is only a small sampling of some of my favorite UG products!  For more ideas, visit their website and be sure to check out their suggested Christmas gifts!  There's sure to be something to suit everyone on your Christmas list this year!

  8. That beer cap state map is awesome. I could totally see that being a gift Scott would appreciate. The state wine stopper is pretty cool too (though I can't remember the last time we needed a stopper -- we always drink it all... oops).
