Wish List for Baby #3

I didn't feel like things changed too much in the 21 months between when Brantley and Holden were born, but here we are 27+ months later and it seems there are so many new baby products on the market!  Of course, none of these are true necessities, but a girl can always dream, right?!

Solly Baby Wrap - I wasn't much of a baby wearer with either of the two boys.  We used the Bjorn on a fairly regular basis, but those can't be used until the baby is a bit bigger.  The Solly, on the other hand, can be used as soon as the baby is born.  I have heard amazing things about these wraps and it only seems natural that with two other kids in tow, one of these may come in mighty handy!  Definitely #1 on my wishlist!!

Bandana Drool Bibs - Brantley drooled like crazy (sometimes he still does!), but I hated covering his cute outfits with a tacky bib!  These adorable bandana bibs have become increasingly-popular over the last couple of years and once I found out I was having a boy, I couldn't wait to get my hands on some!  Lucky for me, my sweet blog friend, Crystal, already gifted me a set and I couldn't have been more excited to receive them in the mail!

Inch Bug Orbit Labels - Apparently I've been living under a rock because all of my neighbors were familiar with these personalized rubber labels for bottles and sippy cups.  Genius!  And seeing we are 99% certain of our name at this point, I could probably go ahead and order some! ;)

Covered Goods Nursing Cover - Confession: I'm not even a hardcore breast feeder.  I've tried...and tried and tried and tried to breastfeed both of my kids, but I have not had the supply needed to fulfill either of my babies.  Nonetheless, I will try again and I will pump for as long as I can manage, but I'm also not going to get worked up when the time comes to switch to formula.  Anyway, these nursing covers are not only adorable, but multi-functional as they can be worn as an infinity scarf and used as a car seat and shopping cart cover!  So even if I only get three months of breastfeeding use, these things do so much more!

Lily Jade "Madeline in Brandy" Leather Backpack Diaper Bag - With Brantley, we bought a fairly inexpensive diaper bag from Buy Buy Baby.  And then with Holden, I bought a Petunia Pickle Bottom backpack on Craigslist and it was life changing.  So although the Petunia Pickle Bottom will suffice for Baby #3, I recently saw this Lily Jade leather backpack diaper bag on Instagram and fell in love.  It's still a back pack, but it's leather so it looks more like a women's' handbag than a diaper bag!  I seriously love everything about it--the tassel, the removable organizer, the size, and the color.  Well okay, everything but the price tag. :(

Binxy Baby Shopping Cart Hammock - Here's the deal: those two person limo-sized shopping carts at Target are fabulous.  And once Baby #3 is old enough to sit up in the front part of the cart, we wont' have a problem.  But until then, Baby will stay in his infant carrier.  And when you put an infant carrier in a shopping cart, there's no room for anything else!  Enter the Binxy Baby Shopping Cart Hammock!  It's literally like a hammock for a shopping cart.  It takes up very little cart space, leaving room for a cart full of groceries!

Breast Pump - See above--breast feeding has just not worked out for me in the past.  I have no idea if it has anything to do with my pump, but it is an old pump!  I got it from a co-worker who was getting rid of all of her baby stuff and although it's a Medela and was only used with one child, it's old (10 years this spring)!  I know insurance companies have to provide breast pumps these days, so it may be worth looking into a new one.  Obviously not if I have to pay for it, but if I can get one for free, why not?!

Any other new(ish) baby products I need to know about come November??  Do share!

  1. It's crazy how many baby products are on the market!! I decided to splurge on the Solly for my second babe and I'm so glad I did! It's so nice to be hands free with a toddler running around and it's super light weight and comes in lots of cute colors :)

  2. Great round up! We love those inchbug bands. We used them on the boys' bottles, though poor third child never got any... Hopefully a new pump will help! I think getting a new one definitely helped me!

  3. Great items! I've heard great things about the Solly. I want a Lily Jade bag to use not as a diaper bag. Ha ha. You'll love the covered goods nursing cover even when you stop nursing. It's awesome!

  4. It was annoying that we just missed that whole insurance and pump thing with Aria. The one we rented from the hospital was ah-mazing, and 4 billion dollars. The cheap one we bought drove me bonkers. So yeah I'm all for the insurance covering a decent one!! Maybe #3 will be the magic breastfeeding number.
Yay for almost positive on a name! So far we are solidly going with baby no name. This boy name thing is challenging.
And I think you totally need the solly =)

  5. I just bought the dock a tot (Jimmy wants to kill me- but I spent like $30 on my diaper bag) and we get it today. I've heard wonderful things and I'm hoping it will get Mikey in his crib sooner rather than later bc he is a LOUD sleeper!!! I will let you know!

  6. Great list! I'd love to try one of those Solly wraps, but I don't think I'm coordinated enough to get it on, haha. I ended up ordering a Lillebaby one. Those nursing covers are so cute!!! I think I need to look into those! That's the Medela pump I had with Mila (although mine was in an uglier bag) and it lasted me 9 months of exclusive pumping - so I'd say it's a good one! I'm probably going to order another if my insurance will pay for it again!

  8. Those shopping cart hammocks are my favorite new product. I wish they were out when I had Liam!
I recently won a Covered Goods nursing cover after I finished breastfeeding for 2 years. I still love that I can use it as a scarf and shopping cart cover!
We still use bandana bibs-so cute and stylish!
I'm not sure if you used them before, but sleep pods are the best! No need to swaddle!

  10. YES TO THE SOLLY...i'm a hardcore fan ;) I only had the Ergo with Jack and he was hit/miss with it so I didn't get much use out of it. With Allison i forced her into the wrap early on and she loved it....always calmed her down and she slept. I wore her almost daily during the first three months...and every shopping trip/outing we did! It was the one splurge I had for baby #2...well worth it.

  13. I love love loved my Solly. Lightening may struck me for saying this but I did not love my lily Jade, in fact I ended up selling it on eBay. Even with the awesome organizer the sides constantly folded in which made it tricky to get to the items I needed. I was only working with 2 little ones and found it super frustrating. Everyone loves it and I couldn't find one review that talked about how it became tricky to find stuff in so it could have just been me but I wish someone had said it before I bought it.

  14. The Solly is the one thing I don't think I could live without. I STILL put Julia in that all the time! It's my preferred way to cart her around when I don't want to just hold her.

  15. I dont know if I lucked out or what but I got my Medela for free from my Pediatrician at the hospital and that thing was awesome (or as amazing as a breast pump can be lol) That Lily Jade is gorgeous!

  16. I say go for the Lily Jade bag! I mean, first of all, it is ADORABLE. But second, like you said, it looks like it could be a purse so I think you will get TONS of use out of it! You can use it for at least 2 years and people will just think you have a cute backpack/purse. Get yourself a push present mama!

  17. I never had a wrap with Mason! But, if we’re blessed with a 2nd baby I will for sure be investing in some kind of wrap. I’ve heard great things about the solly. I’m obsessed with those bandana bibs! So glad you love the ones that I sent. This is a great list! That cover and the bag are gorgeous. Baby/Mama gear has come so far in just 6 short years.
