December Social Suppers

I love Social Suppers!  What a fantastic idea!  If you follow my blog, I've written about it before.  Basically, you go and prepare meals to take home and freeze.  When you're ready to eat, you thaw, follow the (usually) very simple instructions, and viola--you have yourself a decent, "home cooked" meal!  Pair that with some potatoes or steam-in-the-bag veggies as your side and it makes for the perfect week night (and time-saving) dinner!  My friends introduced me to Social Suppers about two years ago and it's been wonderful!  Usually, I go with another friend or group of friends, but last week I was so food-frustrated (hate coming up with meal ideas all the time!), I headed to the Social Supper kitchen alone and whipped up the following:

Canyon Chicken
Cheese Ravioli w/ Tomato & Artichoke Sauce
Cranberry Chicken Salad Wraps
Drunkin' Chicken
Garlic Alfredo Tilapia
Holiday Pork Roast
Pinwheel Beef
Southwest Chicken & Cheese Soup

The great thing about Social Suppers (well, there's a few) is that you can make full or half orders.  The half order feeds two to three people, which works perfectly for Craig and I.  I often take the leftovers for my lunch the following day.  Their menu changes each month, so the meals never get old, and I get to "make" things completely different than I would ever create myself!  They also have many meals each month that are considered "light".

KC friends--if you're intersted and want to go along sometime, let me know!
