When I learned Baby 3.0 would be a boy, I was slightly disappointed on the nursery front because I assumed my husband (ahem, Mr. Frugal) would be anti-new nursery as he was with Holden. Another boy, another use out of our old stuff, right? I was bound and determined to fight for some new decor...until we found (and bought!) a gray crib on clearance at Nebraska Furniture Mart, which meant a new nursery was in order! I had envisioned something light, bright, fresh, and airy--with touches of gold! Of course, I knew some things were there to stay--our glider and changing table, for instance--and I someone needed to make them work in the new nursery. Since the changing table was black and that was the last thing I had envisioned in a bright nursery, I went ahead and painted it blue. However, I decided to add a few touches of black and white to tie into the black piping on the glider. We found a solid oak dresser on Craigslist (total 70s style), painted it to match the crib, and replaced the hardware. The most fun part was the decor! I had so much fun with it, even though trying to combine all of my Pinterest-worthy ideas was a bit overwhelming at times! I love this new little space in our house and I'm so happy with how everything turned out. From inspiration to complete, as promised long ago, here is Rhett's nursery!
